So I changed my idea for the mailer to a poster. I wanted this poster to help customers with understanding care label symbols. Ideally this would be hung in their laundry room. I started working on the poster to realize I have made something that would go with Ikea products. Just wündföl.
Well this is just a concept I was exploring and I quickly made this up to see how it would look. This would be a printed on card stock with an acetate sheet on top. There would be a stain printed on the acetate cover and when you lift it would reveal the Sig Samuels logo. This would give the illusion that their dry cleaning will remove the stain. I need to figure out how to print on acetate and make it opaque as opposed to transparent. I may have to place a sticker on the acetate...not sure if thats going to look great.
I thought the hardest part would be building this sculpture, but I was wrong. Printing this thing using indesign has been completely frustrating. I could go on for days about what went wrong...but here are some of the spreads documenting the sculpture process.

For my sketchbook I chose to make a plaster sculpture for my brand. The entire process has been photographed and will fill the entire sketchbook with the process. Here are just some hots I took on my phone.
I just cut out a quick mock up to see how it would look. Card stock is still a bit flimsy... The opening business card would protect the fragile top pieces of the logo. Still a long way to go
